Diet following gallstone surgery
Following your operation you will be able to drink fluids providing you do not feel sick.
You may have a drip (tube) which will give you fluids until you are able to drink enough fluids yourself.
The following day I will see you and you can increase your food intake.
You will be able to tolerate more fat in your diet, however, continuing a low fat diet is healthier.
